J-200 is a typical example of the most popular Duesenberg Model J body style, the Murphy Convertible Coupe. Murphy was the most prodigious builder of Duesenberg bodies having produced some 140 of them. Of the approximately 472 Duesenberg Model J's built, sixty of them had a version of the Convertible Coupe. This car is the 100th Model J made and still retains its original v-shaped radiator and does not have the added louvers of the later cars. The car was restored in 1950 and cost $15,000 when new.
